It’s springtime in Helsinki, pikku peanut snores gently and a glass of red wine stands reassuringly on the coffee table as I launch my second blog.
One day I’ll speak to my little peanut of life before blogs. He’ll most likely give me a look that suggests I’m talking of the Stone Age - Michael Jackson, Betamax and driving without a seatbelt.
Naturally, blogs are so fundamental to today’s Internet experience that it’s hard to imagine the Internet before them nor life in fifteen years time when the two of us will have this conversation.
I could never have imagined that I’d become a mummy blogger but here I am. Since the birth of pikku peanut my life has changed from rising to bedtime and my life has become about my little peanut and our family life.
It turns out however, that family life is so much more than diapers and vomit. As an emigrant, living in a welfare state, bringing up a baby of mixed heritage, there are many aspects of society, entertainment, politics, economy and so on, that can and will affect my little peanut.
Thus, I decided it was time to put to rest Every Woman for Himself and focus on the peanut and his world. I’m sure I’ll find plenty to write about.
